Have you ever tasted vanilla extract straight out of the bottle?
How could something that smells so good taste so nasty straight up, huh? Vanilla extract has to be blended with other things in order to bring out the wonderful flavor that makes vanilla the world’s most popular flavor. The same goes for essential oils.
Essential oils by themselves are very potent and it is only when they have been diluted and blended with other things that their best quality is brought out. They also tend to have a very fast evaporation rate and need another oil to “fix” or “anchor” their fragrance so as not to evaporate so quickly.
Salish Winds “Little Stinkers” Fragrance Oils have been blended to bring out the best and anchor them for long lasting fragrance. However, these are not faint scents – they are highly concentrated perfumes with a lot of fragrance, so a little goes a long way.
These are crafting oils and should be incorporated into another medium. They should not be worn directly on your skin as perfume – they’re simply not designed for that purpose.
